The Golden Glow

Dark knew this was going to happen, he just didn't want to accept it. He couldn't he loved this guy in his arms to much, he couldn't bear the thought of losing him no matter how many times it happened. Dark held Sean in his arms carrying him watching as little gold specs flew off Sean as he carried him over to his bed. He sat down looking down at Sean peaceful expression, his body glowing a soft golden hue as more sparks fell. Streams of tears coming down Dark’s face as he held Sean tighter, only resulting in more gold sparks flowing off dissipating into nothing. More tears streamed down as he loosened his hold on him as he hoped that the process would stop and Sean would come back, but he knew it wouldn't help. He knew this all to well. He bowed his head down closing his eyes, tears still streaming down, he felt a hand cup his cheek, and he opened up his eyes and looked at Sean’s sad but somber expression. Dark choked back a cry as Sean smiled up at him, a smile that showed hope, an emotion Dark wish he could still feel. He could feel Sean’s hand dissipating as he held his hand up to Dark’s cheek. The gold sparks circling around them, dissipating, but more were constantly forming replacing the old ones place. The room now glowing with a soft golden hue, Sean smiled smiled wider before mumbling. ‘I love you, and we will meet again.’ Dark smiled sadly as he watched the last prices of Sean fade out of existence, his touch still living a lasting impression on him. As he pulled his head up looking at the ceiling, letting out a silent scream of loss. The lasting golden glow of the room finally fading away as Dark’s world crashed around him, it felt as all the life had been sucked out of him, as he collapsed onto his bed sobbing. Remembering Sean’s last words. “we will meet again~”
